London is ready and waiting for Pride 2017! All over the city you can feel it – and see it. I’ve captured some of the shop facades and the welcoming messages in Carnaby Street and Soho. Take a look or even better: Go see.
The Pride Parade takes place Saturday the 8th of July. The route is 1.4 mile and starts on Regent Street at 1 pm and I am sure there will be a huge crowd there. Never the less I’m going to be there. I’ve only been to Pride in Copenhagen and I am sure this London event will be even more amazing!
Pride in their own words
Pride provides a platform for every part of London’s LGBT+ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, questioning, intersex, non-binary, asexual, polysexual, genderqueer and gender variant people) to raise awareness of LGBT+ issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow them to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing.
Our annual Parade through the heart of the West End gives us a chance to be visible and speak loudly to the rest of the city about what we have achieved, how far we have come and what is still needed.
